Ongoing needs and special projects:

There is an on-going need for community outreach to our target populations and community to ensure that the community needs are being met through existing programs and services and to identify gaps in services.  This involves coordination and collaboration with a network of local community-based organizations and other local agencies and organizations that serve the community.
These activities include programs and services for emergency food and shelter, tutoring and mentoring of at-risk youth, gang intervention and prevention, affordable housing, fair housing, and equity and inclusion for under-represented populations.
There is also an on-going self-evaluation for all City facilities to identify needs for removal of barriers to accessibility and the subsequent development/update of the Transition Plan.
